This place was amazing, definitely would stay here again, very close to the lake and stores. Supplied more than what I thought, instructions were clear and we enjoyed everything. Gary communicated quickly and he’s very friendly. Definitely recommend this place!

Gary was incredibly kind and responsive. We really appreciated how communicative and proactive he was to help ensure we had the best stay possible. However, we were really surprised to find mouse droppings on the sheets and covers of all 4 beds upon arrival. This is unsanitary and a serious health risk. Gary was quick to help us fix the problem - he immediately called cleaners and pest control to mend the situation and made sure we were compensated fairly. The situation was a lot better the next day, but we still found mouse droppings on the covers of one of the beds, so the cleaning was not as thorough as it should have been. I've spoken to Gary and they are in the process of exterminating the mice, so I believe the issue should be solved now, but wanted to share my experience to alert future travelers just in case. Overall, Gary was an excellent host and the Airbnb felt cozy and homey, so would recommend this place once the problem is fixed.

When these guests were sent a full refund and departed: (1) our licensed cleaning crew did a "deep clean" of the house. They found no droppings anywhere. (2) our licensed pest control company set ten traps strategically throughout the house and after three days they were still empty. We pride ourselves and our home being perfect for guests. This sort of incident, in our twenty years of hosting, never happened before. The guests who stayed the next weekend found the place wonderful.

Our family had a great time for New Years at Gary’s Rhapsody lake house. 15 min to Northstar where we spent a most days, but evenings felt at home at Gary’s house with lots of personal touches in the interior to make it feel like a true lake cabin. Loved the location and the cabin vibes. Will be back next year!!!

Our family had an amazing stay here! There was space for everyone and fun games to enjoy. We went sledding and hiked at the local hiking trail. A couple of our family members who had dust allergies had those triggered a little, but it may have been combined with the altitude also. The cabin is adorably decorated and the kitchen is well stocked. We had an amazing time and hope to come again.

Wow! This is the perfect house for a family or friend’s trip. I stayed with two other friends from Sacramento and thoroughly enjoyed the barbecue and hot tub. We had two other groups of friends staying at nearby airbnb’s and they all agreed that this one was the best option! We enjoyed all of the space outdoors and the garage is full of awesome games. I will definitely come back on my next trip to Lake Tahoe and hope to visit with family when they visit me from southern california. Please take care of this beautiful home if you plan yo visit because it is clear that it has been decorated and treated with much love and respect.

This is my second time booking Rhapsody Lodge. I must say that is is the BEST Air B&B I've ever stayed at, and my 4 guest agreed. Gary and Marty's home is just that, a HOME. Stocked with everything most family homes have from a fully stocked kitchen to games movies, beach stuff ( to borrow for the day), if you forgot something, its probably there to use. We love the 10 minute walk to Moon Dune Beach and the beautiful yard, to just hang out in and play games or just relax and enjoy the scenery. We also enjoyed playing ping pong, Giant Jenga and darts in the Garage, when we were hanging at the cabin. One of my favorite thing about this place aside from above is that there are directions to use EVERYTHING. I've stayed at places that I couldn't even enjoy watching TV, because I couldn't figure out how to use the multiple remotes. I can guarantee, you wont have that issue with any appliance at Rhapsody Lodge. I have decided that this is now my new Home away from Home.

Our stay at Gary and Marti’s home was spectacular, providing the perfect break before the start of the school year.
We were two families, each with two young children. The property is expansive, offering plenty of outdoor space for the children to safely play and explore. The neighborhood is peaceful and picturesque, perfect for strolls any time of the day.
The location is ideal, with two beaches just a short walk away, and many more in just a short drive. We spent our days hiking (the many trails right next to the house), playing disc golf, swimming in the lake, and taking long bike rides on the Pam Emmerich Trail and the East Tahoe Trail (which we biked down to the stunning Sand Harbor Beach).
Gary was incredibly proactive, friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout our stay.
We had an amazing stay, combining a great location, spacious outdoor areas, and excellent hospitality. We would highly recommend it for families looking for a memorable getaway in Tahoe.

What a lovey home. You can tell this cabin has been loved for many years. It’s so cute and colorful and has everything you need. Everything was as described and Gary was very responsive and checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Couldn’t recommend a stay more, can’t wait to come back!

My family spent the week of 4th of July and loved this charming cabin in great location off the main street. We walked to the beaches, enjoyed the hot tub and ping pong in the garage. The owner was great at communicating with me when I had questions.

We loved our stay up at the lake at this beautiful cabin. It easily accommodated my family of 8. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to make some great dinners with the grill. Hot tub workes great and we enjoyed the badminton and ping pong table! Plenty of extra beach chairs in the garage and lots of beach toys which the little one enjoyed. Beds was super comfy and plenty of fans to help co down at night. Tv worked great got to put on ms Rachel for the baby with ease. Host was well responsive and accommodated our requests quickly and even took my late night phone call with a request i had. We had great recommendation for local boat rental and had a beautiful day on the lake. One thing we all really enjoyed were the duck decorations and figurines that were throughout the cabin. Thank you again for our lovely stay!

Great stay, very comfy beds. The downstairs bedrooms require you to walk through one of them to get to the living room. Our guests used both outside doors to get in and out so as not to disturb the others. The hot tub didn’t work during our trip but I’ve been updated that it works now. Gary had a repairman come out to fix it. We’d come back! Great trip. Can’t be closet to North Star.

They have a great place! Me and my group looked for a place to stay in North or West Tahoe, and this place in North Tahoe was great. It was just what we were looking for. Check in was easy, and was earlier in the day, and that was a plus for us. The aesthetic and decor was nice too. It was very cozy. I has 4 queen beds, plus 1-2 couches. The master bedroom was really nice. The other bedrooms were nice too. The kitchen was nice as well. The whole place had every silverware, utensil, or supply you'd need. Even a dishwasher. The hot tub was great and easy to use, and while it only fit 3 people, it was just what we were looking for and a great bonus. The water was hot, and cold, when we needed. The showers and bathrooms worked well. The thermostat and heating was great too. The neighborhood, driveway, and location were all very good too. It was exactly what we needed, and they seem like seasoned Airbnb pros that know how to be successful. Very happy we picked their place!
